Fran Westwood
Fran is deeply aware of how complex and unexpected life can be, and how lonely and scary it can be to struggle with challenging situations and emotions without adequate support. Fran’s hope is to provide a safe place for you to feel fully seen and heard, to name what is difficult, and to support you to recover connection to yourself and what matters most to you.
Fran works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, anger, stress and burnout, relationship issues, and addictions, as well as those exploring their identity, discerning decisions or experiencing spiritual deconstruction or reconstruction.
Fran also has a special passion for working with anyone experiencing grief, anxiety or other complex emotions related to ecocide, climate change and the state of our world. Drawing from a decade of work with individuals exploring identity and spirituality in the nonprofit sector and three years in the front lines of the mental health and addictions field, Fran engages sessions with curiosity, compassion and a trauma informed, whole-person approach.
Fran has completed training in the Unified Protocol for Emotional Disorders in 2022 and 2023, and is currently participating in climate aware therapy training. Fran has a Masters in Divinity in Clinical Counseling, is a registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (License number: 10254) and is an active member of the Climate Psychology Alliance.
